Architrave profiles vary slightly between manufacturers, but all will have the same basic shape and design.
The most important point is that the architrave profile should have a kerf (or shallow rebate) on one edge. In this picture, you can see two shadow lines on the upper surface of the profile: That is where one face of the profile has been cut away to create the kerf.
This means that when you install it at the junction of your floor and wall, your skirting board can be pushed up against it and screwed down from underneath without being visible. This is important because you don’t want to see any screws in your architrave after installation.
